Language and culture

Singra upazila culture is one of the pillars. Most of the people are fond of art and literature. The birthplace of famous many poets, literary and political personalities, is in this upazila. People here are Bangla language-speaking. Muslims, Hindus and indigenous people together practice culture. There are a number of cultural organizations and groups including Shilpakala Academy. On the occasion of Ekushey February every year, the book fair was held in the upazila premises with a lot of fun and festivities. The people of all classes irrespective of caste, religion and caste participate in this festival.
