General responsibilities

Upazila Nirbahi Officer's responsibility

Upazila Nirbahi Officer represented the central government and he performed the following responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer of the local government at the upazila level:

- Duties under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner
- Support the development activities of different departments at the upazila level
- To assist all concerned in formulating and implementing a coordinated program at upazila level
- To implement the provisions of Criminal Procedure Section 144
- Write an annual secret report of subordinate officer
- To carry out the responsibilities to take, distribute and store food sherrylifs during natural calamities
- Perform protocol duties
- Monitoring the upazila revenue and budget administration
- Coordinators of training of its divisional staff and all types of training programs at upazila level
- Ensure keeping the government directives in the upazila administration
- The responsibility of the IO-officer officer of the covered officers
- Supervision of the staff of the officers and employees
- Upazila Nirbahi Officer, 1st Division of Magistrates will visit the thana by force
- Of course, inspection of educational institutions in the area as a duty
- Conduct all the responsibilities related to election schedules
- Government work of Grameen project
- To perform the related duties related to census work
- To perform related duties related to various central examinations of secondary / higher secondary university
- To assist the government in implementing public education programs
- Support the implementation of population control program of the government
- To perform duty as a protocol officer in the required field
- To fulfill the obligations given by the government by other government functions or any act given by the government
- Ensure fair and neutral elections
- To implement government's primary, compulsory and mass education and poverty alleviation programs
- Implementation of the government's model village and asylum program
